UPDATE 7/10/2014. I have found that opening this book on my Kindle for PC, that I can click on the links to be able to PRINT out the diet trackers and be able to USE them for planning my diet. This has helped me tremendously. BUT when only reading on the Kindle, you cannot print out the downloaded trackers the Author gives the link for. SO, read it on your Kindle, but get from Amazon the “Kindle for PC” or MAC version, they are FREE, and once you do, you can click on the links given, and then easily print out a bunch of copies of everything you need. I have already lost 10-12 pounds following this book. It is very near to my Ketogenic Diet which I use to control my blood sugars.

    Original Review:
It’s an easy reading book. AND don’t be fooled, it is NOT a diet book that is only for night shift workers! It is easily adapted to day shift workers too! It has an excellent framework for making a personalized healthy diet plan and lifestyle change to help you lose weight successfully without feeling deprived of your favorite foods at any time, EVER! I like the idea of knowing I can still lose weight and have a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup once a week! I love them darn things!

The whole premise is having a plan and the cookbook she provides is FREE and there is a link in the book that takes you to the site where you can download it Free. I did, and being a cook and knowing recipes (after cooking for 50 years!) I can recognize a good recipe. SO, I like the look of the recipes and there are many that I want to try, there are nearly 50 recipes which she used during the first week of her diet! Having good recipes to begin a diet would help tremendously to enable a person to stay on a good weight loss diet and also be able to get to eat and enjoy good tasty foods. The plan she discusses can be personalized for any reader.

Another huge positive for this book is that she also discusses different ways of planning and also the tools she used to help her be successful. She not only tells you about all of these tools, she tells you they are free, also provides a clickable link for each tool, that all you have to do is click on it and it takes you directly to all the free websites that have free apps to go with them, again, for both iPhone and Android phones, and the great thing about the websites and their app is that they sync together making it so you can track on the go. She also gives you some other downloadable tools needed to be successful. She didn’t just say do this or do that, she showed you where to find what you needed like right now fast, and for FREE too. I like FREE stuff! I did get the free Android apps she suggested, and they seem to have a very broad database of foods to track. I’m also now signed up to two of the free websites that has apps offline tracking. I already had a FitBit so I was ahead of the game, she also gives all the links on Amazon for buy any of the FitBit models and I can say that Amazon DOES have the best prices on one model is 15.00 less that the website’s price, and they are Prime shipping. YAY to this!

The one thing I most especially liked about this book (once was a Psychiatric RN) is the psychological aspect of dieting was dealt with in such fine detail. The book gives many hints, tips and advice on how to get around the diet psycho issues that always crops up every time when someone goes on a diet. Using her pointers, I believe, could really help a person stay on any diet. Even this alone, makes it worth reading and incorporating this aspect of the book into any diet plan that a person is following. It would work on any diet. The psychological aspect of dieting issues and how to deal with them is key to being able to stay on a diet of any kind and remain successful for the long term while losing the weight. I will be incorporating so many of the author’s suggestions into my own diet plan. Especially the psychological parts that tend to always kill even a great diet.

There were grammatical errors but it is still quite readable, but it is an excellent book based on thoroughness of good content, However, I understand the book is being professionally edited and should be available within a few short days! I’m going to redownload it after the new version updates.

Being quite knowledgeable about diets, nutrition and especially the psychology of people, and myself, I give this book 5 stars for content. I did not deduct any stars for the grammar errors since I know her book is being Pro edited. I feel it’s only fair to give the book a chance for it’s overall merit. It’s good healthy content that covers all aspects of diet failure. The Author does discuss the diabetic’s needs, but as a PreDiabetic myself (AND NOW NOT), I can say that the foods will be good for me and also go well with helping control my blood sugars. Many of her recipes, since she’s from the UK, are different from my good old standby USA recipes…

There were too many “I will get into that later” but never really got back to it. I wanted the meal plan/directions, but was pointed to a website that obviously didn’t work. Not a fan of this one.

Didn’t tell me anything that I have not already heard of before. Also I was unsuccessful in downloading the recipes for the diet menu numerous times. Wouldn’t recommend this book.
