    This book is not just about the paleo diet, it is about healthy living overall; the author includes some valuable information on weight and BMI. I calculated mine immediately and I guess I have a reason to worry. The result of jumping from this modern diet to another or having no diet at all is that you end up being unhealthy. The paleo diet, which has proven itself over time, is one that you won’t have to change. The paleo diet’s principles are clear and they follow those of our ancestors. With this diet you eat natural and nutritious food that will give your body all it needs to be agile and give you energy. The food in the diet plan is plenty and you will not run out of things to eat or ideas to prepare food. The bonus is that the author includes some recipes you definitely want to try out.

    Paleo diet means “Caveman Diet” based on this book. This book talks a lot about what Paleo diet is, what benefit you could get, and which one is counted as Paleo Diet. This so new to me and so I am excited to try each dish that is included in this book. Though I am still new in cooking, and this is a great way for me to start this diet discipline as well.

    What a find this book is – explains the concept behind the diet and then has recipes that I can easily do and enjoy.

    Like many others I had already heard of the Paleo Diet but my interest was sparked when two of our high profile Australians came together in a Chanel 7 program “Sunday Night”. They are celebrity chef Pete Evans (Paleo advocate) and a well respected journalist Mike Willesee.
    To cut a long story short during the interview Evans challenged Willesee to trial the diet for 10 weeks. Willesee, who was having health issues, accepted the challenge under supervision of his doctor.

    The report was broadcast over two weeks with a “video diary” – warts and all.

    You viewed the improvements in Willesee. His walking was much, much better, and he lost 5kg (11lbs) over the period which is a safe weight loss. Willesee certainly looked healthier!

    What I like is everything within this book is “doable”. No complicated ingredients, no over and above kitchen skills, just a plain easy and simple way of putting together the meals. If you have a family to consider these dishes will not cause a riot because everyone can enjoy them – and you will not be preparing a “special” meal just for you!

    Nothing here I can’t do and I am looking forward to some tasty meals that will be of benefit to me, all ways round – I’m in!!
